COMBINED CYCLE POWER PLANT BANDIRMA
Turkey

It is estimated that the demand for electrical energy in Turkey will be more than double within the next 15 years, and that investments of more than 1,5 times of the current capacity will become necessary until 2020. In this context, ENERJISA – a Joint-Venture between the Turkish Sabancı Holding A.Ş. and the Austrian Verbund (Österreichische Elektrizitätswirtschafts AG) – is erecting a gas fired combined cycle power plant with a capacity of 916 MW in Bandırma, Turkey.

On behalf of A-TEC PPS, parts of the layout design and the complete civil works guide design was carried out by convex ZT GmbH. Additionally, an architectural and colour concept was developed (A. Wagner) and presented by means of 3-D renderings. In the execution phase, civil design co-ordination works were provided by convex ZT GmbH; and Mr. Emrah Kemaloğlu from convex Ltd. Şti. was appointed as (deputy) general site manager for the construction site.
